Dreamcade Vision 32 vs Vision 40

2-player vs 4-player, not two different libraries

Both cabinets are Dream Arcades licensed uprights. Vision 32 is $3,999 list: 32-inch HD (31-inch viewable), 2-player panel, 300+ licensed titles, Windows 11 custom front-end, US assembled, ships assembled, wheels and tilt-to-move. Vision 40 is $4,599 list: 40-inch HD, 4-player panel available at order, same licensed menu, same US assembly, same “you cannot add Steam” rule. The $600 list gap is glass and how many people stand at the deck. It is not 100 extra titles. The Arcade Co sells both at list. We do not race the maker promos ($3,399 and $3,699 on their homepage when they run).

What $3,999 list vs $4,599 list actually buys

Vision 32 money buys the two-player rec-room default. 32-inch HD arcade monitor, 31 inches viewable, original aspect preserved, 300+ licensed retro titles in the Dream Arcades menu, dual heavy-duty wheels, tilt-to-move, factory options for light guns, trackball, spinner, LED rails, and custom marquee. Dreamcade uses its own game menu. Retro Reload is a separate Dreamcade library with its own accounts. You cannot add Steam. Plug in on 110V. Play. This is the cabinet we start most two-player households on when they do not want a ROM conversation.

Vision 40 money buys the flagship glass and the option to configure a 4-player panel at order. 40-inch HD, original aspect preserved, same 300+ licensed titles, same Windows 11 front-end, same US final assembly and QC. Light-gun packs still exist as options. If two kids and two adults will stand at the same deck on a Saturday, this is the SKU. If two people play and the other two watch from the couch, save the $600 list and the extra inches of assembled freight. Buy the 32.

The 4-player panel is an order-time decision

“4-player panel available at order” means you tell us before the factory builds the deck. It is not a $50 Amazon overlay you drop on a Vision 32 in the basement. Vision 32 is a 2-player control panel. Do not order the 32 at $3,999 list and email six weeks later asking us to stretch it to four. Vision 40 at $4,599 list is the cabinet that accepts that configuration. Confirm the panel on the PO. The Arcade Co will not eat a second freight event because someone assumed the glass size included extra sticks.

Measure the path. A 40-inch assembled upright is not a parcel.

Both SKUs ship assembled. Both need a liftgate on a residential driveway. Vision 32 still has to clear the door, the stair turn, and the ceiling at the landing. Vision 40 is worse at every one of those measurements because the glass is 40 inches, not 32. A tight Victorian stair loses. The Arcade Co will refuse the ticket in public rather than send a crate you cannot walk. Photograph the turn. Measure the clear opening, not the door slab. Subtract hardware and weatherstrip. The buying guide is five steps: door, stair, ceiling, crate class, liftgate. Do them in that order.

Wheels and tilt-to-move on the 32 help once the cabinet is in the room. They do not replace two people on the receiving end, and they do not replace a liftgate. Inspect on the truck. Photograph crushed corners, wet cardboard, and tilt indicators before you sign. Refuse if the crate is destroyed. Concealed damage: 48 hours. A 40-inch assembled upright coming back is a freight event, not a mood return.

Same licensed menu. Same Steam answer: no.

300+ licensed titles in both crates. Custom Dream Arcades front-end on Windows 11. Auto-resolution. You cannot add Steam. You cannot add GOG. You cannot add your own ROMs. The Arcade Co will not load a library onto a serial we just sold and then take a software return. Power on both Visions is standard 110V residential. Not 220V. Not ICE Games operator iron. Dedicated circuit if Stern pinball shares the wall. Manufacturer support is Dream Arcades (chat, phone, email, remote). The Arcade Co is the selling dealer. Returns: authorized RMA, original packaging, restocking plus reverse freight. Licensed titles stay licensed.

Who should not buy Vision 40 $4,599 list

You have two players, not four. You have a tight stair. You thought the $600 list gap bought more games. You wanted us to match the $3,699 maker promo. You wanted Steam. You wanted a 90 lb wall cabinet. None of those people should buy Vision 40. Two-player households with a real doorway start at Vision 32 $3,999 list. Open-PC households start at Sente $2,499. Empty-cabinet builders start at X-Arcade Machine 32 $2,000, 73 inches, 400 lb, games not included. That last one is X-Arcade vs Polycade.
